Talk Direct stores raise money for the Guide Dogs

Last week Talk Direct received this wonderful thank you letter from the Guide Dogs for raising money in our stores on their behalf over the last few months.

All of our 14 stores have been holding their own individual events and all of their hard work has really paid off and we managed to raise £1395 for such a wonderful cause. The stores have been holding bake sales, tombolas, and raffles to bring in much needed money for Guide Dogs.

It is a little known fact that the average cost of a guy dog costs £53,000 in its lifetime and this is paid for totally by fundraising and donations, and receive no money from the government.

We are now well on our way to hitting our £5000 target so we can pay for a puppy to be trained and given to a visually impaired person who will receive the most life changing gift and hopefully give them the independence they need.

We also get to name the puppy which will be fantastic and already our staff have several ideas of what this may be!!!
