Partially Sighted Society Doncaster Branch Visit from O2 Crystal Peaks

On Friday 21st February, Mark Skelton and our Guru Sam Howarth from O2 Crystal Peaks visited the Partially Sighted Society’s branch in Doncaster to support a course for people who have recently lost their sight.

The 6 week course teaches the participants a multitude of options that are available for them after sight loss. For someone who is going through a situation as such is a completely life changing and so any help or support offered to them is a brilliant thing!

Mark spoke about his own journey after losing his sight which encouraged others who wanted to carry on working despite their disability. If a company is willing to help and support an employee who is going through a similar situation the way Talk Direct did with Mark, there is absolutely no reason for any drastic changes to your working life.

Mark and Sam spent their time talking about the accessibility options that are available on mobile phones and tablet devices. They also showed the participants how downloading just a few relevant apps can have a massive impact on how their devices can be used to benefit them. Overall, the event was a success and we will be returning to the society in March to hold a technology training day on Friday the 27th.
