O2 Dewsbury - Career Fair 11-16 years old

Institute of Islamic Education held a career fair for their 11-16 year old students.

Companies from the public sector such as, West Yorkshire Police, Dental Surgery, teachers and the Royal Navy also attended the event. O2 Dewsbury and telesales team were the only company representing the retail sector.

There were over 100 students at the fair spilt in to groups of ten, which rotated around the different employers. The students spent 10 minutes with each company to get an insight of the company and skills required.

We spoke about the importance of gaining good GCSE’s for future employment and how they fit into different roles in the world of work (Maths for till handing and working out discount on promotional offers).
