Talk Direct's Linda Jones helping McAuley High School

Over the last 12 months Talk Directs Linda Jones has been helping McAuley School in Doncaster with a selection of children who wanted to bring their ‘bullying app’ idea into a reality. With the digital age, the group wanted to created an e-portal - ‘Be OnLine’ - where the children can contact a buddy anonymously when there is an issue or there is something they just want to talk about with someone without the face to face interaction.

Linda spent time with them educating them about how a business would launch a product and all the relevant work that goes into it. She helped the students create a project team with a manager and she said; “It was amazing to see the talent from the creative logo design, to programming a website, build on their presentation skills and the great leadership skills from the project manager".

The students had blown the headteacher, Mr Long, away with the passion from the individuals and the presentation they created.

Linda visited the school last week as a guest to their end of year celebration lunch and finished off her speech with; "Thank you for having me, it’s been a real privilege and joy working with the kids, and I wish you all the best for the project and for your exam results".

Good Luck to the students at McAuley Catholic High School.
