O2 NSPCC - Let's keep kids safe online

Back

O2 NSPCC - Let's keep kids safe onlinTalk Direct recently held a parent workshop at O2 Merrion Centre with NSPCC educating parents about how to keep their children safe online hosted by Annie Burton and her Business Team.

We had 17 parents attend who found it extremely beneficial and felt they have gained relevant knowledge about how to ensure their child is protected on the digital world.

We are very grateful for the positive feedback we recieved :

-------------------------

"It was a very informative event and it certainly opened my eyes on the risk of social media and online exposure that children are exposed to these days !  - In fact I was embarrassed that I hadn’t even heard of some of the Apps that are out there, how easily they are accessible  and the risk they pose to  children.  The exercise on how many Apps we could identify was a great idea.
The workshop was a fantastic way to engage everyone,  rather than listening to a boring speaker (which you clearly are  not!).
I was telling my wife about some of the stuff we talked about and she like me accepted how naive we are as patents. I have taken on the advice and will be trialling that with my children in the next few days.
Thanks you for educating and enlightening us!
Can you please extend my thanks to the team and the lady from the NSPCC.
Let  me know when you are holding your next event which I am sure will be as informative and fun as the one yesterday."

"I found the presentation interesting and thought provoking. Your colleagues and yourself are obviously very clued up in this area and I think that a partnership between the NSPCC and a telecoms/technology company is a great idea. Many thanks for the invite."
